Here are the Australian Open 2010 odds. This is the first Grand Slam Tennis Tournament of the year and begins on Sunday at Melbourne Park.

Last year’s champ, Rafa Nadal, is the second favorite, right behind World No. 1 Roger Federer, who was upset by Nadal in last year’s Australian Open men’s championship final.

Nadal is at +350 to repeat with a potential payout of $350 on every $100 bet, followed by Andy Murray and Juan Martin Del Potro, the latter having won the 2009 U.S. Open in September, both at +450.

Nadal, the first Spaniard to win the Aussie Open, became just the 12th player to win three Grand Slam titles on three different surfaces since the Open Era began.

Novak Djokovic, who won the Australian Open two years ago, is at +550.

On the women’s side, defending Australian Open champ Serena Williams is favored to repeat at +240 odds. Sister Venus is way back at +700, but the wild cards are two Belgians who are coming back from long hiatuses. Kim Clijsters, who won the U.S. Open, is right behind Serena at +250, and Justine Henin, who was recently injured (not seriously) in a tune-up tournamnet, is at +400.

Williams won her 10th Grand Slam title and fourth Australian Open title with a victory over Dinara Safina. The Californian beat the Russian No.1 in straight sets, 6-0 6-3.

The Australian Open was first held in 1905 and has been played on hard courts since 1988, after having been contested on grass from its inception until 1987.
