Michael Vick has finalized a two-year contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. This is a shocking move considering the fact that the Eagles were one of 26 teams claiming to have no interest in Vick. It appears that things change quickly when your backup QB becomes injured.
Backup QB Kevin Kolb strained his knee ligament earlier this week, paving the way for Vick and a $1.6 million contract for the first year and an option for $5.2 in the second year.
Michael Vick is available immediately for practice and is eligible to play in the last two preseason games of the season. He can’t participate in regular season games until he is reinstated by the NFL, which commissioner Roger Goodell says he will consider by week 6 (Oct. 18-19) at the latest.
