The 2009 US Open tennis odds have been posted by Sportsbook.com, the World’s largest online sportsbook. Serena Williams is the reigning US Open Women’s Singles champion and is also the favorite to win with +150 odds (a $100 wager pays $150). Serena is also the reigning Australian Open and Wimbledon singles champion and has won 22 Grand Slam titles: 11 in singles, nine in women’s doubles and two in mixed doubles. She has won more Grand Slams than any other active female player and has won more career prize money ($25,891,873) than any other female athlete in history.
The first US Open took place in 1881 and is held annually during August and September for a period of two weeks. The tournament is held at the USTA National Tennis Center at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the New York City borough of Queens. It is the fourth and final Grand Slam event. There are five championship events: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Woman’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
